Why, hello

This is the first sentence of the first paragraph of my first entry in Excellently Done. I wanted it to be an epic first sentence (like, "It was the best of times..." on a much smaller and more modern scale), but I think what I have now is fine. I'll leave epic first sentences up to Dickens, I guess.

Webdings!

Oh, this is going to be spiffy. Font. Ooh, let's see here. Courier. I like this one. Trebuchet. I was never a fan of sans serif fonts. Let's go with Font for now.

Perhaps I should explain myself; this is the first entry, you know. You should know a little something about me before you become hopelessly addicted to my riveting and enthralling blog.

My first name is Sarah. It's Hebrew for "princess," which is fun. You may not have known that, but now you can tell the seven Sarahs you know this Fun Fact. I know you know at least five Sarahs. Don't kid yourself.

I am turning sixteen in six days, and I live in Orange County. This combination of characteristics will probably lead you to make some "snap judgements" about me. Yes, I am blonde. No, I don't dye my hair blonde. Yes, I choose to spell "blonde" with an "e." Yes, I come from a (relatively) wealthy family. No, I am not a slave to BMW and Abercrombie and Bitch-I-mean-Fitch. And Prada and Chanel et cetera, et cetera. I don't think I'm spoiled; the overall point I'm making here is that just because I come from a community where illogical, narrow-minded, self-absorbed airheads make up about 80% of the population does not mean that I am one of them.

Considering my own personal history, values and beliefs, sense of humor, and interaction with my peers, I would consider myself an atypical Californian youth. But that's not to say I'm totally offbeat and insane, I just think I'm a little offbeat and borderline insane.

Well, I'm a B-average student in honors/AP classes for english and history, normal science and math (but still a year ahead; its hard to explain). I love movies and books and art and music and food, memories, smells, discoveries and progress, anything beautiful, funny or interesting.

I play piano. I daydream way too much. I think that's enough about me, I don't want to bore you. If you're still reading this, you're crazy and you need to get a Myspace ASAP. Maybe watch some unfulfilling rap music videos. Because that would've been a better way to spend your time- not reading this! Silly goose!
